Through service, ministry and sharing we demonstrate Christ’s love as we support people in our community and around the world.

Christmas Offeringchristmas offering
The recipient Christmas Offering 2009 was the Hope Family Care Center; an organization located in Kansas City, MO whose Mission is ‘To honor God by developing healthy communities where the vulnerable flourish’. The Hope Center was founded in 1998 by Chris Jehle. This non-profit organization envisions the complete transformation of its worn down east-side neighborhood to a flourishing and vibrant community where families are able to raise healthy and well-educated children in a safe environment.

Due to the generous RH congregation The Hope Family Care Center was able to purchase the following needed equipment:

  • Fetal Stress Test machine – to address the high infant mortality rate in inner city communities and encourage a higher level of pre-natal care. ($5,000)
  • EKG machine - for monitoring heart electrical activities in all age groups but especially benefitting the elderly. ($4,000)
  • Colposcope (call-puh-scope) – this scope will allow early detection of cervical cancer in a demographic that has a high incidence of HPV, a leading cause of cervical cancer. ($4,500)
  • Immunizations and vaccines – costs vary; this will be the most expensive and ongoing cost and will immediately benefit a community at high risk for exposure to contagious diseases.food baskets
