Music Ministry
Partnered with the spoken word, music is integral to our worship, and provides us with a rich setting for meaningful fellowship. A comprehensive music program provides the opportunity to utilize the talents of volunteers and professionals. Director of Music, Charles Bruffy, who started at Rolling Hills in August, 1995, brings a wealth of experience as a church musician and choral conductor. As Artistic Director of the grammy nominated Kansas City Chorale and Phoenix Chorale, Charles has an extensive knowledge of choral music and musicians. He recently became the new artistic director at the helm of the Kansas City Symphony Chorus.

Mission Programs
Through service, ministry and sharing we demonstrate Christ’s love as we support people in our community and around the world. The Community Outreach Committee administers benevolence giving for the congregation as well as directing the total outreach work of the church. A Christmas Eve Offering is received each year in support of a local charity. Additional service opportunities include Men At Work; Thanksgiving Baskets; an outreach to elementary school children; and providing monthly meals at Shalom House, a Kansas City, KS homeless shelter.

Stephen Ministry
Trained lay caregivers called Stephen Ministers provide one-to-one Christian care to persons who are bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, separated, divorced, unemployed, relocated or facing other crises or life challenges. Stephen Ministry helps pastors and congregations provide quality caring ministry for as long as people need it.
